A teaser promotional video for the upcoming Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace anime has been released, confirming the main cast and production staff. The series, which adapts the romantic fantasy manga by Hokuhoku Yakiimo and Kusabi Kurokawa, is slated to debut this July on TV Kanagawa.
Miku Itō will voice Katrina, with Yōhei Azakami taking on the role of Clarence. The production team includes Yūsuke Morishita as director, helming the project at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio in collaboration with Stainlab. Hiromune Kurahashi is handling sound effects, and Kazuya Takahashi is coordinating production.
The story follows Katrina, an illegitimate daughter who is sent in place of her stepsister to learn proper conduct under a prince rumored to be cruel. However, she discovers the prince to be far kinder than his reputation suggests, leading to a potential romance in the wintry north. The manga is available in English via MangaPlaza and has garnered over 1.5 million downloads.
This adaptation is notable for its use of the "light anime" production method, designed for faster, more cost-effective creation. The original story first appeared on the Shōsetsu ni Narō platform in July 2023, with the manga adaptation beginning serialization in January 2025.
