The upcoming second season of Sasaki and Peeps is officially set to debut on October 7, kicking off with a special one-hour broadcast on AT-X, followed by runs on Tokyo MX and BS Nippon Television. To mark the announcement, the production team released a new key visual and the first promotional video, which offers a preview of the opening theme song, 'Unbroken' by the group MADKID.
New additions to the voice cast include Tasuku Hatanaka, known for his role in SK8 the Infinity, who will voice Himegami-kun, and Yuu Sasahara, recognized for her work in Shadows House, who joins as Eriel. Behind the scenes, the music is being composed by Kouji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki, with Kadokawa overseeing music production.
Returning to the helm is director Yuushi Ibe, leading the production at studio SILVER LINK. He is supported by assistant director Yamato Oouchi, series composer Deko Akao, and character designer Saori Nakashiki. This creative team continues the adaptation of Buncololiβs light novel series, which has been a staple of the MF Bunko J label since 2021.
While the first season concluded its 12-episode run in Winter 2024, interest in the franchise remains steady. The series currently holds a 7.18/10 rating on MyAnimeList, reflecting a solid following for its blend of fantasy and modern-day office comedy. With the English light novel and manga adaptations currently being published by Yen Press, international viewers will be watching to see if the second season maintains the same streaming availability as the first, which was simulcast on Crunchyroll.
