The upcoming installment will feature a new directorial team, with Yuushi Ibe stepping in as director and Yamato Oouchi serving as assistant director. The comedy fantasy series, adapted from Buncololi's light novel, will once again be animated by SILVER LINK.
New key staff have been announced for the production. Deko Akao returns to handle series composition, while Saori Nakashiki is back for character design and chief animation direction. Joining the team are Kazunori Ozawa as action supervisor and Yuuko Shintani as director of photography, with Yuuki Shinjou as art director and Tsutomu Ogasawara as 3D director. Nobuyuki Abe will continue as sound director.
The first season of Sasaki to Pii-chan, which aired for 12 episodes in Winter 2024, was simulcast by Crunchyroll. The light novel series began publication under Kadokawa's MF Bunko J label in January 2021, with a manga adaptation by Oshou Pureji also running since January 2021. Yen Press handles the English releases for both the light novel and manga.
A teaser visual and promotional video have been released, offering a first look at the returning anime. The series blends urban fantasy elements with adventure and comedy, drawing from its light novel origins which first appeared online in 2018.
