Akimine Kamijyō, the acclaimed creator behind the popular series Samurai Deeper Kyo and Code:Breaker, is set to debut a new manga titled KILLER+SITTER. The series will launch in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine on June 24.
Shonen Magazine has teased the upcoming work as a "new era family drama" centered around an ex-soldier. This marks Kamijyō's latest venture following the conclusion of their manga KATANA Beast in September 2024, which notably debuted simultaneously in Japan and on Kodansha's K MANGA service in the US.
Kamijyō has a prolific history in the manga industry. Their previous works include the long-running Samurai Deeper Kyo, which received an anime adaptation, and Code:Breaker, which also spawned an anime series. More recently, Kamijyō also completed the five-volume Tansansuibu in 2016 and contributed a four-chapter spinoff to The Ayakashi Hunter's Tainted Bride novels in early 2024.
