According to the 34th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, creator Yuuto Suzuki has officially begun the climax of the manga, which first captured readers' attention in 2020 with its unique premise of a legendary hitman trading his weapons for a convenience store apron.
This announcement follows a significant narrative shift, as the series entered its "final battle" arc back in August 2025. Since its debut, the manga has expanded into a massive multimedia franchise. Beyond the core story, the property has spawned the Sakamoto Holidays spin-off in Saikyō Jump, two light novels, and a live-action film directed by Yūichi Fukuda that saw a strong box office performance during the 2026 Golden Week holidays.
For those who haven't caught up, the series is widely available through Viz Media and MANGA Plus. The franchise also maintains a solid presence in the anime space, with the TMS Entertainment-produced adaptation holding a 7.59 rating on MyAnimeList from over 230,000 users.
