The November issue of Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine has confirmed that two of its ongoing titles, Saint Seiya: Dark Wing and Garagarapon, will reach their conclusions in the magazine's January 2027 issue, scheduled for release on November 19.

Saint Seiya: Dark Wing, a spinoff of Masami Kurumada’s iconic franchise, has been running since December 2020. Written by Kenji Saitō with art by Nobuyuki Ueda, the series follows high school student Shōichirō, who finds himself thrust into the Underworld as a Judge of Hades. Titan currently handles the English publication of the series, which has reached eight compiled volumes to date.

Joining it in its final chapter is Garagarapon, a collaboration between Yousuke Takahashi and Mimori that debuted in November 2023. Takahashi is perhaps best known for his long-running mystery series Mugen Shinshi, which has seen various adaptations, including an OVA and a live-action film.

While the original Saint Seiya manga remains a cornerstone of the genre with its extensive history of anime adaptations and international releases, these specific spinoffs represent a significant shift in the current lineup of Champion RED. With both series concluding simultaneously, the magazine is set to clear space for new projects in the coming year.
