The long-running romance manga Sefure by Ryuta Amazume is set to conclude its run in the next issue of Shonengahosha's Young King magazine, arriving on July 27. The series, which explores the complex emotional evolution between two friends who begin a purely physical relationship, has been a staple of the magazine since its debut in March 2019.

With the 11th compiled volume released this past May, the series has maintained a steady presence in the seinen landscape. Amazume has been particularly prolific recently, wrapping up several other projects, including Omae no Kao wo Tashikametai this past April and the series Jofū earlier in 2025.

Amazume remains best known for his influential work on the Nana & Kaoru franchise, which spanned multiple series, spinoffs, an OVA, and two live-action films. Given his history of moving quickly between projects, the conclusion of Sefure marks another transition for the creator as he clears his plate of ongoing serialization commitments.
