RWBY Volume 10 has been officially greenlit, Viz Media announced during their panel at Anime Expo. The announcement was accompanied by the reveal of a new trailer showcasing the series' main voice actresses and showrunner Kerry Shawcross.
Viz Media took ownership of the RWBY franchise in July 2024, following the shutdown of original production studio Rooster Teeth. At the time of acquisition, Viz Media expressed interest in continuing the series, and this announcement confirms those plans.
The original RWBY web animated series, created by the late Monty Oum, centers on four young women with unique abilities training to combat supernatural creatures. Rooster Teeth previously produced nine volumes, totaling 117 episodes, with the most recent volume concluding in March 2024.
This new volume continues the franchise under Viz Media, which has also published several RWBY manga adaptations. The announcement also follows the 2022 premiere of the RWBY: Ice Queendom television anime produced by Shaft.
