Romelia War Chronicle: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Still Seems Doomed, So I Formed a Military Force is set to arrive this fall. A newly released trailer provides a fresh look at the series, which is slated for an October 2026 premiere and has been confirmed for a two-cour broadcast run. Crunchyroll will handle streaming for the series as it airs.
The production team has expanded the cast list, adding Shōya Chiba as Gran, Gakuto Kajiwara as Ragn, Shun Horie as Kyle, and Ryūnosuke Watanuki as Otto. They join a previously announced ensemble that features Yuna Nemoto in the lead role of Romelia von Graham, alongside Jin Ogasawara and Tomohiro Ōno.
Directed by Hiroshi Shirai, who previously served as a unit director for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the production features series composition by Aya Satsuki. The project is being animated by Atra, with a musical score composed by KOHTA YAMAMOTO. The franchise began as a web novel in 2019 and has since moved into a successful manga adaptation published by Mag Garden.
The story follows Romelia, a woman discarded by her fiancé after their quest to defeat the Demon King. Despite being labeled useless, she possesses unique talents in finance, trade, and intelligence gathering. Rather than fading into obscurity, she returns to her province to build an independent military force, aiming to protect a kingdom that remains vulnerable to lingering demonic threats.
