Rock band Unison Square Garden will be suspending all activities indefinitely following the departure of drummer Takao Suzuki. The band announced the news on Monday, confirming Suzuki's exit.
The group's final performance with the current lineup is scheduled for July 15 at Makuhari Messe. This concert, named UNISON SQUARE GARDEN LIVE 2026 "Sentimental Period" after their debut single, will mark the end of this era for the band.
Unison Square Garden formed in July 2004, initially under the name Unison, before adopting their current name. They released their first single, "Sentimental Period," in July 2008. The remaining members include vocalist and guitarist Kōsuke Saitō and bassist Tomoya Tabuchi.
The band is well-known in the anime community for performing theme songs for several popular series, including Blue Lock, Blood Blockade Battlefront, Tiger & Bunny, Soul Eater, Welcome to the Ballroom, March comes in like a lion, and Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.
