A new promotional video has revealed that the short anime adaptation of San-X's popular character Rilakkuma will enter its second season. The upcoming season is titled Rilakkuma: Tekuteku Sekai Ryokō, translating to 'Steadily Traveling the World,' a follow-up to the first season's Rilakkuma: Goyurori Yume no Tabi ('Leisure Trip of Dreams').

The series, which debuted on April 4, continues to air on TBS on Saturdays at 9:25 a.m. and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The directing duties are handled by Yoshimi Itazu and Yumi Kamakura, with animation produced by Production I.G. Chiyo Morita is designing the characters, and the music is composed by Kōta Yokoseki, Yoshiya Ikeda, and Mizuki Kanno. Legendoor is managing music production, and Keiko Matsushita serves as animation producer.

Narrating the series and performing its theme song, titled "stay with me," is Lilas Ikuta, vocalist for the band YOASOBI. The Rilakkuma character itself was created by Aki Kondo and first introduced by San-X in 2003. This short series follows previous Rilakkuma anime ventures, including Netflix's Rilakkuma and Kaoru from 2019 and the 2022 stop-motion series Rilakkuma's Theme Park Adventure.
