The laid-back world of Rilakkuma is getting a high-intensity makeover. To celebrate the recent broadcast of the SASUKE Ninja Warrior World Cup 2026, the beloved San-X characters have been reimagined as competitors. The new merchandise line features Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Chairoi Koguma, and Kiiroitori decked out in ninja gear alongside the iconic obstacle course branding.

The collection spans a variety of items, including shirts, face towels, stickers, acrylic keychains, clear files, and tin cases. Prices for the goods range from 385 yen to 3,960 yen, and the entire set is currently available through the official TBS online shop.

This crossover follows a busy year for the franchise, which saw a new anime series debut this past April. While Rilakkuma is best known for his stop-motion Netflix outings like Rilakkuma and Kaoru, this collaboration highlights the character's enduring presence in Japanese pop culture alongside long-running institutions like TBS's SASUKE.

With the World Cup 2026 having concluded on August 24—resulting in a victory for Team United States—this merchandise serves as a commemorative capstone for the event. Given the franchise's history of successful lifestyle branding, it remains to be seen if this ninja-themed aesthetic will extend to future digital or animation projects.
