CAPCOM has released a free update for Resident Evil Requiem, introducing a new postgame challenge dubbed 'Leon Must Die Forever'. This mode becomes available only after players complete the game's main story.
The 'Leon Must Die Forever' mode presents randomized levels with tougher enemies and bosses, five new difficulty settings, and a strict time limit. Players will need to fill an 'enhancement gauge' by defeating foes to unlock powerful 'enhancer abilities' for Leon, adding a strategic layer to the run-based gameplay.
Resident Evil Requiem originally launched on February 27 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The action-horror title, which notably features Leon Kennedy as a second playable character alongside protagonist Grace Ashcroft, has already surpassed 6 million units in worldwide sales.
