The romantic comedy Rent-A-Girlfriend is set to continue its anime adaptation with a sixth season. The announcement confirms the series will move on to adapt the manga's Cohabitation arc. Character designer Kanna Hirayama celebrated the news with a new illustration.

The fifth season of the anime, which was effectively the second cour of the fourth season, concluded its run on DMM TV on June 26th, with the final television broadcast airing on June 28th. This latest season, animated by TMS Entertainment, covered the Hawaiians arc, following the same arc from the previous season.

Rent-A-Girlfriend, based on Reiji Miyajima's manga, first premiered in July 2020. The series follows Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student who rents a girlfriend, Chizuru Mizuhara, leading to a complicated fake relationship. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2017 and has also spawned a live-action series.

Previous seasons have been streamed internationally by Crunchyroll, with the anime's story continuing to unfold the romantic entanglements and comedic situations arising from Kazuya's rental girlfriend arrangements. The series holds a strong following, with its continued production underscoring its popularity.
