The television anime adaptation of Otsuji's My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked manga is set to stream internationally outside of Asia via REMOW's free YouTube channel, 'It's Anime.' The announcement was made Monday on the distributor's X account.

My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked will premiere in Japan on July 8 at 11:30 p.m. JST, airing on networks including TV Kanagawa, MBS, and Tokyo MX. Japanese streaming platforms U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and Anime Times will carry the series from the same time, with wider streaming availability following a week later.

The cast includes Hina Suzuki as Miya Nakamura, Kujira as Teru Kōnokura, Yū Serizawa as Marika Kōnokura, and Yuka Nukui as Arisa Kōnokura. Keisuke Inoue, known for his work on My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, is directing the series at studio NEWON. Nanami Hoshino penned the scripts, with character designs and chief animation direction by Mutsumi Sasaki.

Lia will perform the opening theme song "Amayadori no Shōkei," while AVAM provides the ending theme "Claire." Seven Seas publishes the manga in English, describing it as a comedic reimagining of Cinderella where an illegitimate daughter expects a harsh life from her new stepfamily, only to find them unexpectedly kind. The manga has been serialized digitally since November 2020, with its ninth compiled volume released in Japan in February.
