The upcoming anime adaptation of Kaede Nishikigi's light novel series, Reincarnation in the Game World Dan-Katsu: Game Addict Plays "Encouragement for Job Hunting in Dungeons" From a "New Game", has confirmed a January 2027 debut. A newly released teaser video and promotional visual offer the first look at the project, which is currently in production at Studio MASSKET.

Nagisa Miyazaki, known for work on Negima! and Eternal Alice, is set to direct the series, with scripts penned by Yūji Kobayashi. The lead role of Zephyrus, a hardcore gamer reincarnated into his favorite dungeon-crawling title, will be voiced by Yūto Uemura. The production committee has tapped into the series' established fanbase, which has grown steadily since the story first debuted on the Kakuyomu website in 2021.

The narrative follows Zephyrus, a dedicated player who logged over 8,000 hours into the legendary game Dungeon Shūkatsu no Susume—or Dan-katsu—before a sudden death leads to his rebirth within the game's unconquered world. Armed with the "hero" class, he begins a fresh playthrough of the world he knows better than anyone else. With the 16th volume of the light novel series shipping later this month and a manga adaptation currently running on the Corona EX website, the anime arrives as the franchise continues to expand its reach.
