Record of Ragnarok is set to continue its epic battles with a fourth season, officially titled Record of Ragnarok IV. Warner Bros. Japan unveiled the news Friday, accompanied by a newly released trailer and the season's official logo. The announcement follows the premiere of the anime's third season, Record of Ragnarok III, which debuted on Netflix in December 2025.
The trailer showcases glimpses of the intense divine and human combat that defines the series. The original manga, penned by Shinya Umemura with art by Azychika and storyboards by Takumi Fukui, has been a consistent hit since its 2017 debut in Comic Zenon magazine. Viz Media handles the English release of the manga, with Mangamo also licensing it.
Record of Ragnarok III recently began airing on Japanese television, with its first three episodes broadcast on Tokyo MX and BS11 in early April. The third season's synopsis detailed the continuation of the 13 one-on-one battles for humanity's survival, culminating in the pivotal seventh match that broke a 3-3 tie between gods and humans.
The anime adaptation first premiered on Netflix in June 2021, with subsequent seasons rolling out in parts. Record of Ragnarok II arrived in two cours, with the first part in January 2023 and the second in July 2023. The franchise has also expanded to include several manga spinoffs and a smartphone game, Record of Ragnarok: The Day of Judgment, released in April 2025.
