Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto, the television anime adaptation of Hiroshi Shiibashi's manga, is set to premiere on July 4. The series will debut on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST, followed by a broadcast on Sun TV at 11:00 p.m. JST.
Adding to the excitement, the production revealed that the J-Pop groups THE JET BOY BANGERZ and WOLF HOWL HARMONY will perform the show's theme songs. THE JET BOY BANGERZ will lend their talents to the opening theme, titled "Budding," while WOLF HOWL HARMONY will perform the ending theme, "Koko ni Iru" (I Am Here).
Further cast details were also unveiled, with Gen Sato voicing Ryū Sazame and Shinnosuke Tokudome taking on the role of Mizuhi Awadama. These new additions join the previously announced main cast, which includes Taito Ban as Kodō Iwamoto and Yuki Sakakihara as Kai Haramachi.
The anime is directed by Toshifumi Kawase at Studio DEEN, known for its work on series like Tenjho Tenge and Komi Can't Communicate. Keiichirō Ōchi is overseeing the series scripts, and Atsuko Nakajima is handling character design. The story is set in the 1910s and follows Kodō Iwamoto, a student tasked by the military with investigating supernatural phenomena across Japan.
