Reborn as a Space Mercenary, the new anime adaptation of Ryūto and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima's light novel series, has revealed its theme song artists. Rock band FLOW will deliver the opening theme "Unstoppable," while metal band ASTERISM is on board for the ending theme "My Way." The series is slated to begin airing in October on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and Chukyo TV, with Crunchyroll handling streaming duties.

The anime boasts a cast including Makoto Furukawa as protagonist Hiro, Konomi Inagaki as his love interest Mimi, Anna Nagase as his partner Elma, and Haruka Shiraishi as Serena. Directing the series at Studio A-Cat is Norihiko Nagahama, known for his work on I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills. Series scripts are handled by Takamitsu Kōno, with character designs by Masami Sueoka and music composition by Kenta Higashiohji.

Seven Seas Entertainment licenses both the light novels and the manga adaptation in English. The story follows Satou Takahiro, who is transported from his everyday life into a video game world of space battles and interstellar colonies. Reborn as the mercenary "Hiro," he pilots a powerful starship and navigates a life filled with adventure, rescuing damsels, and confronting space pirates.

The light novel series first began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2019, with Kadokawa releasing the first print volume later that year. The manga adaptation by Shinichi Matsui launched in November 2019. As a sci-fi isekai series, Reborn as a Space Mercenary is expected to bring a unique blend of action and adventure to fans this fall.
