Mao Nanami, best known for her hit romantic comedy Real Girl (3D Kanojo), is set to debut her latest project. The artist will launch a manga adaptation of Ryō Midorikawa's light novel Tensei Hakushaku Lilina no Kekkon (The Marriage of the Reincarnated Countess Lilina) on the Gangan Online digital service starting July 26.

The story follows a young woman reincarnated into a medieval fantasy world as Lilina, the sole heiress to a noble title. Following her grandfather's passing, Lilina enters aristocratic society with hopes of finding a suitor, only to face a string of unsuccessful attempts. Her luck seems to shift when a handsome duke takes interest in her; while Lilina initially fears his intentions are merely to use her as a shield against unwanted marriage proposals, the reality of his affection proves far sweeter.

This new series draws from the original web novel serialized by Midorikawa on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2025, which later received a digital release via Meteor Novels featuring illustrations by Matsuri Akizono. For Nanami, this marks a return to the genre that defined her career, following the conclusion of Real Girl in 2016. That series, which spanned 12 volumes, remains a notable entry in the romance genre, having inspired both a two-season anime adaptation and a 2018 live-action film.
