The Expelled from Paradise franchise is ramping up for its return to the big screen with the fifth teaser trailer for Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance. The footage highlights the high-stakes action expected in the sequel, specifically showcasing the mysterious entity known as "Fallen" as it poses a direct threat to the space station DEVA.

Alongside the trailer, the production team has confirmed that Sumire Morohoshi will join the cast as the character Penem. She joins previously announced cast members including Ayane Sakura, Saori Hayami, Yoshino Aoyama, and Sally Amaki. The film is set to hit Japanese theaters on November 13, 2026, marking a major expansion for the property, which is also slated to receive a new, original game later this winter.

Behind the scenes, the sequel reunites the creative powerhouse that defined the 2014 original. Director Seiji Mizushima and Nitroplus writer Gen Urobuchi are returning to helm the project, with character designs by Masatsugu Saitō and a score by NARASAKI. Toei Animation is once again handling the production, maintaining the series' signature full-CGI aesthetic that garnered critical acclaim and a Japan Movie Critics Award for the original film.

This sequel arrives over a decade after the original Expelled from Paradise became a cult hit, selling over 70,000 physical copies in Japan and receiving a limited 4K theatrical run in 2024 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. As a rare, high-profile original mecha project, the film carries significant anticipation as it continues the story of the DEVA society.
