Rail Wars! has arrived on both Hulu and Crunchyroll, offering the complete 12-episode series with English dub and subtitle options. The show, animated by Studio Passione, is set in an alternate reality where the Japanese National Railways were never privatized, and follows Naoto Takayama, a high school student who dreams of becoming a train conductor.
However, Naoto is assigned to a special security force tasked with combating anti-train extremists, leading to a mix of action and workplace comedy. The series leans heavily into its ecchi and harem elements, featuring a cast of female characters often found in compromising situations. It adapts the manga series of the same name.
Premiering in Summer 2014, Rail Wars! offers a unique, albeit fanservice-heavy, take on a world obsessed with trains and the individuals who operate them. Viewers can now experience the full story, from Naoto's initial struggles to his entanglement with the various women in his life and the ongoing conflict with the 'RJ' terrorist group.
