The horror-thriller Pumpkin Night is officially returning to its serialization schedule following a hiatus that began in April 2025. Illustrator Seima Taniguchi confirmed on their social media that the break, which was taken to prioritize their health, will conclude on August 19.
This marks the latest chapter in a long-running series that has navigated several schedule shifts since its 2016 debut on Manga Life Win. After moving to the LINE Manga app in 2019, the story of the vengeful, mask-wearing killer has expanded significantly, including the launch of the third part of the main narrative in early 2024. The franchise also includes the prequel series Naoko Pumpkin Night Gaiden, which debuted in 2020.
For English-speaking readers, the series is available through Manga Planet, which currently hosts the brutal tale of Asumi and the mysterious social media account that turns her life into a nightmare. With the 10th compiled volume released in late 2024, the return of the series provides a much-needed continuation for fans following the conclusion of the second part in late 2023.
