The television adaptation of Toshiaki Iwashiro's cult-classic manga Psyren has locked in its premiere date, with the series set to debut on October 5. A newly released trailer provides a fresh look at the production, while also confirming that the anime is slated to adapt the entirety of the original 16-volume manga series through to its conclusion.

Alongside the release date, the production team announced two additional cast members joining the ensemble: Yūko Kaida will voice Matsuri Yagumo, and Nobuyuki Hiyama is set to play Dolkey. These actors join a lead cast that includes Rikuya Yasuda as Ageha Yoshina and Mayuko Kazama as Sakurako Amamiya. The show's opening theme, titled "Warning!!," will be performed by CLAN QUEEN.

Directed by Katsumi Ono at studio Satelight, the series features a script overseen by Shin Yoshida, with character designs by Akira Ōkuma. The musical score is a collaborative effort between composers Takashi Ōmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shū Kanematsu. While the manga concluded its run in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2010, this adaptation marks the first time the story of the mysterious "Psyren" organization and its deadly game will be brought to the screen.

For those tracking the production, the commitment to a full adaptation is a significant detail, as the original manga remains a highly regarded title among fans of the 2000s Jump era. With the broadcast window now confirmed, the primary question remains how the pacing will handle the transition from the source material's serialized format to a complete television run.
