The upcoming stop-motion series Pop Pap Polters has unveiled a full trailer and key visual, confirming an October 4 debut on TV Asahi’s 'PicoAniTime' programming block. Directed by Mozu, the project showcases a unique blend of intricate miniature sets and tactile animation to tell the story of three ghost siblings navigating life within a human residence.
The newly released trailer highlights the series' distinct visual style and introduces the core voice cast. Atsumi Tanezaki takes on the triple role of the ghost siblings—Pop, Pap, and Polter—while Junya Enoki provides the voice for the human homeowner. Interestingly, the live-action segments featuring the homeowner are performed by director Mozu himself.
Behind the scenes, Mozu is handling production duties alongside Yuuka, who serves as art director and co-writer. The creative team also includes mascot designer Hiroshi Yoshii, responsible for the 3D modeling of the ghosts, and composer Scat Gotō, who is crafting the series' soundtrack. The project is a collaboration between MOZU STUDIOS, which is credited for the original work and animation, and Shin-Ei Animation, which is overseeing planning and production.
