During Wednesday's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo showcased the latest additions coming to the paid Expansion Pass for Pokémon Pokopia. The upcoming second installment of the DLC introduces a variety of new cosmetic accessories, including sunglasses, Sylveon-themed ribbons, and bow ties, allowing players to further customize their experience in the life-simulation title. Alongside these visual updates, the roster of available Pokémon will expand to include Doduo, Skitty, and Braixen.
This update follows the August 5 release of the Expansion Pass's first part, which introduced the underwater Bubbly Basin town and a significant free update that granted players the ability to explore and build underwater using the new Dive mechanic. While Part 2 is set to arrive later this year, the development roadmap continues into 2027 with the planned release of a third town.
Developed by Koei Tecmo, Pokémon Pokopia has seen strong performance since its March 5 launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, recently crossing the 5 million units sold milestone. The game distinguishes itself from other entries in the franchise by featuring unique regional variants like Professor Tangrowth, Peakychu, Mosslax, and Smearguru. With Part 3 of the DLC still on the horizon for 2027, players have a long-term content schedule to look forward to as they continue to build their cozy Pokémon habitats.
