Plus-Sized Elf has arrived on Amazon and HIDIVE, offering both English dub and subtitle options for its complete 12-episode run. The series follows Tomoatsu Naoe, a massage therapist who takes on the unusual challenge of helping Erufuda, an elf who gained too much weight from junk food to return to her home world.
Produced by Studio Elias, the comedy leans into its unique premise of an elf struggling with dieting and body image in the human world. While Erufuda's goal is to slim down and go home, her love for human snacks often derails her progress, leading to episodic comedic situations.
The anime adapts Naoe Tomoatsu's manga of the same name, which also spawned sequel and side-story manga. Its blend of fantasy, comedy, and themes of fitness and body positivity — albeit with an ecchi slant — makes it a distinct addition to the current streaming lineup.
