Digital production house Plott is set to debut its latest short-form series, Rakuraku Hanten, on YouTube this coming September. The narrative centers on Tenma, a newcomer to a mafia family who navigates the dangerous landscape of underground warfare while searching for his mysterious benefactor, Mugoku. The series promises to explore the complex dynamics and loyalties inherent within criminal organizations.
The production features a robust voice cast, with Yukihiro Yoshikawa taking on the lead role of Tenma and Tomokazu Seki voicing Mugoku. They are joined by Masaru Yoshimura as Sia, Tsubasa Sasa as Paoran, Takuya Masamoto as Gao, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Lay, and Ran Koba as Chaomi. The creative team includes scenario writer Mikiyasu Kamata, known for Nine Dragons' Ball Parade, and character designer Nigata Amon, who also provided the project's key visual art.
This project follows a busy season for Plott, which recently launched the Tengu Tōsen project in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment this past July. Plott continues to leverage its expertise in web-native animation—a reputation cemented by popular shorts like Teikō Penguin and the 2022 adaptation of Anti-Hero Generations. With industry veteran Ryo-timo serving as creative adviser, the studio remains a primary driver for original, bite-sized narrative content on YouTube.
