Atlus has pulled the curtain back on Persona 4 Revival, providing a deep dive into the modernization of the 2008 classic. A newly released trailer highlights five core additions coming to the remake, including the introduction of the "Send Flying" combat mechanic and the "Prime Time Meter." The title also incorporates the "Baton Pass" system—a staple of modern entries—and features a fresh musical score composed by Ryota Kozuka.
The remake is set to arrive on February 18, 2027, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with a day-one inclusion on Xbox Game Pass. Beyond the mechanical overhauls, the production values are receiving a significant upgrade; MAPPA is handling all animated cutscenes, and the game will feature an entirely new English voice cast, marking a departure from the original release.
This project follows the successful blueprint established by the 2024 launch of Persona 3 Reload, which brought the series' earlier entries into the current hardware generation. While the original Persona 4 defined the PS2 era and later saw an expanded release with Persona 4 Golden on the PlayStation Vita, Revival aims to unify the experience for a new audience. The franchise continues to maintain a massive footprint, with Persona 5 and its Royal expansion remaining heavy hitters in the JRPG space.
