The Persona 4 Revival broadcast held this Sunday confirmed that the upcoming remake will expand its roster of Social Links by adding Aika Nakamura. A familiar face to those who watched the 2014 Persona 4 the Golden Animation series, Aika is the daughter of the owners of the Aiya Chinese restaurant and maintains a childhood friendship with Hanako Ohtani. Beyond the character reveal, the stream debuted a new musical track titled "A Sky Full of Stars -Revival-" performed by Shiori Sasaki.
Production details for the title also highlight a significant collaboration, with animation studio MAPPA confirmed to be handling all in-game animated sequences. The remake is slated for a staggered release, arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass on February 18. A version for the Nintendo Switch 2 will follow shortly after on May 20. Atlus has also confirmed that the project will feature an entirely new English voice cast.
This remake follows the successful release of Persona 3 Reload, which hit consoles and PC in early 2024 before expanding to the Switch 2 in late 2025. While the original Persona 4 defined the franchise's trajectory with its 2008 PlayStation 2 debut and the subsequent Persona 4 Golden Vita port, this new iteration aims to modernize the experience for current hardware. With the addition of a new Social Link, the development team appears to be integrating elements from the broader franchise history, including the 2014 anime adaptation, into the core gameplay loop.
