The upcoming 'light anime' adaptation of Kaoruko Miyama's Perfect Addiction boys-love manga is set to premiere in July on the tvk channel. The official website revealed the main cast, staff, and a key visual for the series.
Yōhei Azakami will voice Akihito Kuji, with Sōma Saitō taking on the role of Sae Takatsuki. Directing the anime is Akashi Uozomi at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio. Izumi Tezuka is handling series scripts, Yayoi Tateishi is the sound director, and Midori Narikiyo is composing the music.
Perfect Addiction is the second project under the new BALLOON label, a boys-love initiative launched by IMAGICA Infos, Dai Nippon Printing (DNP), CYBIRD, and BLUE RIGHTS. This label aims to produce anime more efficiently and cost-effectively. The manga, which began serialization in Kaiohsha's Gush online magazine in April 2022, has surpassed 1.5 million copies in circulation (including digital sales). Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English, with the second compiled volume due out July 21.
