An upcoming film project for Paradox Live The Animation was revealed this weekend during the "Paradox Live Dope Show 2026" event. The film will be produced by Studio GRAPH77, known for "Shikaku".
The teaser for the film indicates that it will expand the universe with nine teams and a total of 29 characters. This includes returning characters from the television series and new faces from groups such as Visty, Amprule, 1Nm8, and GokuLuck, who were not featured in the anime's first season.
The Paradox Live franchise, a collaboration between Avex and GCREST, is set in the near future. Rappers utilize accessories containing "Phantom Metal," a substance that reacts with their DNA to generate illusions tied to their emotions during performances, creating a unique concert experience. The original 12-episode anime series, animated by PINE JAM, aired in Fall 2023 and was streamed by Crunchyroll.
Beyond the anime, the multimedia project encompasses CDs, merchandise, and live events, with the Blu-ray releases concluding in May 2024. The film project promises to further explore this hip-hop-infused sci-fi world.
