The upcoming anime adaptation of the hit webtoon Overgeared (titled Tempal: Item no Chikara) has locked in its broadcast debut for October 2. The announcement arrived alongside a new promotional video, which offers a first look at the series' high-stakes virtual reality action and introduces the opening theme song, "SATISFY" by the rock band Re:name. The ending theme, "Ray of Emotion," will be performed by virtual singer TAO.

Joining the previously announced leads Tatsumaru Tachibana (Grid) and Asami Seto (Yura) is a robust supporting cast. The new additions include Riho Sugiyama as Jishuka, Masaaki Mizunaka as Toban, Kō Bonkobara as Regas, Masaya Fukunishi as Vantner, Kōhei Amasaki as Pon, and Shunichi Toki as Faker. These characters will play crucial roles as the protagonist, a struggling real-life laborer, climbs the ranks of the VR game Satisfy using the legendary blacksmith class.

Behind the scenes, the project is helmed by director Ayako Kōno at J.C. Staff, with production duties handled by EGG FIRM. The series scripts are being penned by Kenta Ihara, known for his work on Uncle From Another World, while the musical score is composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa. The series, based on the web novel by Park Saenal and the subsequent webtoon illustrated by Team Argo, has already built a significant following through its English release via Yen Press's Ize Press label.

Fans looking to catch the premiere can tune in to Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 2 at 11:30 p.m. Given the pedigree of the production team and the webtoon's status as a major title in the litRPG genre, the adaptation is poised to be one of the season's notable fantasy entries.
