A new trailer has arrived for OVER REQUIEMZ, Idea Factory and Kogado Studio's dark reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, offering a preview of the game's opening theme song. The trailer showcases "Muted Expectations" by Hisano, setting a dramatic tone for the upcoming otome title.
Aksys Games confirmed the game will launch in Western markets on August 20 for the Nintendo Switch. The narrative follows high school student Yuhiru, who is transported to a grim Oz and sentenced to death. She is forced to travel with four other death row convicts and their supervisor towards mysterious, monster-infested ruins that resemble home.
The story emphasizes Yuhiru's difficult choices and the overarching theme that no one is truly lost. OVER REQUIEMZ originally debuted in Japan in April 2025.
