The upcoming anime adaptation of Kureha's fantasy romance series Oni no Hanayome (The Ogre's Bride) has expanded its cast list. Joining the production are industry veterans Akira Ishida, known for his work in Trapped in a Dating Sim, as Senya Kiryuuin, and Misato Fukuen, recognized for her role in My Hero Academia, who will voice Sara Kiryuuin.

Directed by Kazuhito Oomiya at Colored Pencil Animation Japan, the project features series composition by Yumi Kamakura. The visual identity of the series is led by Hikari Tanaka and character designer Hiroko Shigekuni, with a soundtrack composed by Masaru Yokoyama. The anime is currently scheduled for a Winter 2026 release, bringing the "ayakashi Cinderella" story to the screen.

The series, which explores a world where humans and ayakashi coexist, centers on Yuzu, a girl who faces daily resentment from her family while living in the shadow of her sister. The source material, originally serialized on the Novema! website in 2019, has seen significant success through its light novel run under the Starts Shuppan Bunko imprint and a parallel manga adaptation by Jun Togashi. With the manga currently available in English via Manga Plaza, the anime is poised to introduce this urban fantasy romance to a broader audience.
