The One Piece anime’s latest chapter, the Elbaph arc, is set to receive its English dub this fall. Crunchyroll confirmed the release, which will cover the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. This rollout follows the arc's initial Japanese premiere, which kicked off on April 5 of this year.
The new episodes feature fresh musical contributions, with singer Aina The End providing the opening theme, "Luminous," and the rock band 36km/h handling the ending theme, "Sono Mirai." The production of this arc marks a shift in the long-running series' release strategy, as Toei Animation has transitioned to a model capping the output at 26 episodes per year to prioritize pacing and animation quality.
This change comes after a three-month production hiatus earlier in 2026, which followed the conclusion of the expansive Egghead arc. By limiting the annual episode count, the studio aims to better align the anime's tempo with Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, moving away from the weekly broadcast format that defined the show since its 1999 debut.
While the main series continues its journey into Elbaph, the broader franchise remains busy. Aside from the ongoing TV series, fans are looking ahead to February 2027, when Netflix will debut the first seven episodes of The One Piece, a high-fidelity remake of the early manga chapters produced by Wit Studio.
