Bandai Namco, Shueisha, and Toei Animation have confirmed that the annual One Piece Day celebration will be accessible to fans worldwide through a dedicated YouTube livestream. The event, which commemorates the anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga, is scheduled to take place at Makuhari Messe on August 22 and 23.
The broadcast schedule kicks off on August 22 from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. JST, followed by an extended session on August 23 running from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. JST. For international viewers, the stream will feature a dedicated English-language presentation hosted by Maxwell Powers, accompanied by guest Kate J and on-site reporter Anya. The organizers have noted that the stream will remain available as a limited-time archive following the live event.
The programming lineup is packed with talent, featuring live musical performances from Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, Aina The End, and 36km/h. The highlight for many will be the August 23 voice cast panel, which features the core Straw Hat crew including Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Akemi Okamura, Kappei Yamaguchi, Hiroaki Hirata, Ikue Ōtani, and Yuriko Yamaguchi. The panel will also welcome additional cast members such as Subaru Kimura, Katsuhisa Houki, and Kenjirō Tsuda, among others.
While July 22 is officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association as the series' anniversary—marking the 1997 debut of the manga—the live event has shifted to August dates to accommodate the festivities. This year’s celebration follows the successful 2025 iteration held in early August, continuing the tradition of bringing the massive franchise community together for updates and performances.
