Milan Matra's Omamori Himari manga has returned for a special 24-page one-shot chapter, published in the July issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine. This special chapter marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved series, which originally launched in the same magazine back in 2006.
The Omamori Himari manga concluded its initial run in September 2013. The series also spawned a television anime adaptation in 2010. Yen Press handled the North American release of all 12 manga volumes, while Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired and Funimation released it on DVD in 2016.
Matra is also known for his work on Demonizer Zilch, which was serialized in Monthly Dragon Age from 2014 to 2017 and also published in five volumes by Yen Press. The latest Omamori Himari one-shot also comes with a special mini shikishi drawn by Matra himself.
