The television anime adaptation of Tsutomu's Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. (Middle-Aged Man Loves Cute Things) manga is gearing up for its October 2026 premiere, with the reveal of its main cast, production staff, and a first promotional video. Kazuyuki Okitsu, known for his role in The Fable, will voice the protagonist Mitsutaka Oji, a handsome office worker with a secret passion for cute things.

The supporting cast includes Miyu Tomita as Pugtaro, Fuuka Izumi as Bosskichi, Yurie Funato as Anne, Asami Tano as Carrie, and Hinata Satou as Greapy. The production team features Tomoe Makino directing, with Yuu Satou handling series composition and scripts. Tomomi Kimura is credited for character design and chief animation direction, while Takamasa Nakakuki serves as art director. LIDENFILMS is the animation studio behind the series.

The first promotional video released today offers a glimpse of the anime's comedic slice-of-life tone and previews the insert song "Pagutto icchatte~" performed by Pugtaro & Friends. The Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. manga began its run on Comic Polaris in July 2017 and has since published 11 volumes, with a 12th slated for release in August.

This anime adaptation follows a 2020 live-action drama series that aired on Yomiuri TV. The story centers on Mitsutaka Oji, whose secret love for all things cute is threatened when his nephew begins visiting his apartment.
