The long-running children's variety program Oha Suta is bringing its popular Daigo Gakuen segment to life in a new format. A four-episode short anime series is scheduled to debut at the end of November, shifting the focus from the live-action gameplay sessions hosted by Subaru Kimura to a fictionalized school setting.
In this animated spin-off, the characters from the survival horror game Identity V will trade their usual roles for classroom dynamics. The gardener character, Emma—voiced by Chiwa Saitō—will navigate daily school life alongside other survivors, while the hunter known as Jack the Ripper takes on the role of their teacher. The shorts will air as part of the regular Oha Suta broadcast, which currently airs weekday mornings on TV Tokyo.
The live-action Daigo Gakuen segment, where Kimura and the "Oha Kids" cast explore new game modes, remains a staple of the variety show, with its second season set to begin on September 8. While the game itself boasts a massive global userbase of over 400 million, this anime adaptation marks a distinct shift toward narrative-driven content for the franchise's younger audience.
