The romantic comedy light novel series Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her (known in Japan as Tenkō-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishōjo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken) has officially wrapped up its run. The 11th volume, which serves as the finale for the story, hit shelves on July 31. Author Yu Hibari also marked the occasion by posting the final epilogue to the web novel version on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform on the same day.
The series follows the journey of Hayato, a student who transfers to a new high school only to cross paths with a girl named Haruki. Hayato is shocked to discover that his elegant classmate is actually the same childhood friend he spent his youth playing with seven years ago—all while under the mistaken impression that Haruki was a boy.
Following its debut as a web novel in 2020, Kadokawa began publishing the light novels in 2021 featuring illustrations by Siso. The franchise also expanded into a manga adaptation by Ōyama, which launched on the Comic Walker platform the same year. Currently, the story is enjoying a television anime adaptation that began its broadcast on July 6, with international streaming currently available through Crunchyroll.
