Streaming platform OceanVeil is bringing the cult-hit short anime Miru Tights to its library this week. The series, which focuses on the hyper-realistic depiction of legwear, will be available to subscribers starting Thursday at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
Originally debuting in 2019, the anime was produced by Yokohama Animation Lab under the direction of Yūki Ogawa. The script was penned by Fumiaki Maruto, known for his work on Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, while the project was conceived by illustrator Yomu, an artist renowned for his detailed focus on hosiery aesthetics. The show consists of 12 five-minute episodes, with the home video release adding a 13th bonus installment.
Fans of Yomu’s specific artistic style may recognize the author’s influence from the Ganbare Dōki-chan net anime adaptation, which saw a streaming release on Crunchyroll in 2021. For Miru Tights, the production utilized a unique musical approach, with the three main voice actresses recording individual solo versions of the ending theme, "True Days," to accompany the series.
