The production team behind the Obey Me! franchise announced on Monday that they have parted ways with voice actor Miura Ayme. The decision follows an internal investigation into allegations that Ayme engaged in private communication with a fan believed to be under the age of 18. While the company stated that no sexual contact occurred, they concluded that the interaction violated the professional standards required of their cast.
Asmodeus, the character previously voiced by Ayme, will remain a central figure in the franchise moving forward. NTT Solmare confirmed that they are currently determining the path for recasting the role, which will impact upcoming projects including the game Obey Me! Sinner's Choice: Lucifer. Details regarding the recasting process and future in-game voice updates will be provided to the community in a follow-up announcement.
Ayme had previously participated in public franchise events, including a fan meeting at Anime Expo in July 2025. The Obey Me! series, a prominent title within the Shall We Date? otome game ecosystem, continues to maintain a strong presence through its mobile applications and animated shorts, the latter of which are currently available on Crunchyroll.
