A wide variety of independent animation and promotional content has arrived on YouTube, ranging from academic student films to high-energy franchise music videos.

Melting Down (2015), From the Dolphin (2011), Eternal Flame (2016), In There (2018), and Al Dente Tango (2011) represent a collection of graduate and first-year works from the Tokyo University of the Arts, showcasing distinct experimental styles from emerging creators.

Gaming and music fans have several new additions to explore. Blue Archive: Beautiful Day Dreamer follows the Game Development Department of Millennium Science School, while Protector provides a rare look into Kiriko’s backstory. We Are PAC-MAN! serves as an original music video for the iconic theme song, and Tatoeba features an insert track from the film Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san performed by KAF.

Rounding out the music-focused releases are Mondainai Tripper!, a visual for Sana Natori, and I Wanna Be Free by the band PEOPLE 1. The Irodorimidori franchise also sees two new entries with the music videos for Chou Rock The Party and Shinsekai Starter, the latter of which highlights characters Nagi Kobotoke and Nadeshiko Iga.
