This request also extends to the exclusive first-look footage currently being screened during the limited-time revival of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion. These special screenings, which began last Friday, provide a sneak peek at the opening minutes of the new sequel, and the studio is keen to ensure the narrative experience remains intact for the broader audience until the mid-September cutoff.
Walpurgisnacht: Rising serves as the long-awaited direct follow-up to the 2013 Rebellion film. Originally announced during the franchise's 10th anniversary in 2021, the project faced several production-related delays, shifting from its initial winter 2024 window to its current August 2026 premiere.
