The new Fist of the North Star - Hokuto no Ken - anime has revealed three more voice actors who will join the series for its upcoming eighth episode. Kaori Ishihara will voice Taki, a young boy from Bat's former village, while Sayuri Sadaoka takes on the role of Toyo, an elder from the same village. Takashi Matsuyama is set to portray Jackal, an antagonist who attacks the village.

The anime, a CG-based production aiming for faithfulness to the original manga, premiered on April 10th and is available globally via Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Hiroshi Maeda with TMS Entertainment handling production, the series commemorates the 40th anniversary of Tetsuo Hara's iconic post-apocalyptic martial arts manga.

The expanded cast joins previously announced talent including Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kenshiro, Daiki Yamashita as Bat, M.A.O as Rin, Taiten Kusunoki as Raoh, and Saori Hayami as Yuria, among others. The series features music by Yūki Hayashi and opening and ending themes by Alexandros and Toshl, respectively.

The original manga, which ran from 1983 to 1988, has spawned numerous anime adaptations, films, and spin-offs, including a recent short anime based on the "Elegy for the Henchmen" spinoff manga. Viz Media began re-releasing the manga digitally and physically in June 2021.
