The new CG anime adaptation of Fist of the North Star has announced Jirō Saitō will voice Mad Sarge, the deputy leader of the GOLAN organization. Saitō's character is slated to appear starting with the anime's sixth episode.

The newly revealed opening theme song music video for "Hallelujah" by Alexandros was also shared. The series, which commemorates the manga's 40th anniversary, premiered on April 10th and is available globally via Amazon Prime Video. The production aims to be a faithful adaptation of Tetsuo Hara's original manga.

Directed by Hiroshi Maeda at TMS Entertainment, the anime features a voice cast including Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kenshiro, Taiten Kusunoki as Raoh, and Saori Hayami as Yuria. Toshl performs the ending theme, a remix of the original anime's "Ai o Torimodose!!".

The original Fist of the North Star manga ran from 1983 to 1988, spawning multiple anime series, films, and spin-offs. Viz Media began re-releasing the manga in 2021. A recent spin-off, Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star, also received a short anime adaptation earlier this year.
