Epic Games has unveiled the latest promotional trailer for Fortnite Battle Royale, providing a glimpse into the upcoming Chapter 7 Season 4, titled "Override." The 90-second video signals a massive influx of gaming icons, signaling one of the title's most ambitious crossover events to date.
The trailer highlights a diverse roster of legendary characters, including Sonic, Tails, and Dr. Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as well as Joker from the Persona franchise. The crossover also extends to gaming history staples such as Pac-Man, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and various fighters from the Mortal Kombat series. Even the iconic blocks from Tetris make a surprise appearance in the footage.
This announcement follows a brief teaser posted on August 11, which saw the popular Fortnite character Peely navigating a Sonic-themed obstacle course. While Fortnite has a long history of integrating gaming legends—including Halo's Master Chief, Doom's Doom Slayer, and Metal Gear's Solid Snake—the sheer volume of IPs featured in "Override" represents a significant escalation in the game's collaborative strategy.
