Kadokawa has unveiled the next installment in the Date A Live anime franchise, officially titled Date A Live F Last Date. The announcement came with a new visual, confirmation of the animation staff, and the return of the primary voice cast. However, details regarding the anime's format and release window remain unconfirmed.
Directing this new project is Junji Nishimura, known for his work on series like Vladlove and Extreme Hearts. The animation will be produced by the studio Fugaku. The extensive returning cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki, Marina Inoue, Misuzu Togashi, Ayana Taketatsu, Iori Nomizu, Asami Sanada, Maaya Uchida, Sarah Emi Bridcutt, Minori Chihara, Ayumi Mano, Hitomi Nabatame, Akari Kageyama, and Aya Endō, all reprising their established roles.
The Date A Live franchise has seen multiple anime seasons and adaptations since its debut. The most recent television anime, Date A Live V, aired in April 2024, with Crunchyroll streaming the series internationally. Previous seasons and a film, Gekijōban Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment, have also been released over the years, adapting Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako's original light novel series, which concluded in March 2020.
