The Battle Spirits franchise is returning to television this fall with Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Kū. The series is scheduled to debut on October 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, with a new trailer providing a first look at the animation and the high-energy opening theme, "Here we are!" performed by JAM Project. The ending theme, "Pulse," will be provided by Himegoto.

Masashi Kudo, known for his work on Terminator Zero and Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties, is directing the project at Bandai Namco Pictures, where he is also credited with the original character designs. The series scripts are being handled by Toshizo Nemoto, whose portfolio includes Log Horizon and Metallic Rouge. The story centers on Kū Bashin, a dedicated Battle Spirits player striving to improve, and his encounter with the mysterious, feared ronin Zetsu Ajara.

The production has confirmed a stacked voice cast to support leads Taichi Kusano and Daiki Hamano. Joining the project are industry veterans including Hiro Shimono as Ibuki Mizuha, Mariya Ise as Yui Kusumoto, Nana Mizuki as Mine Kusumoto, and Akira Ishida as Jinzan Takasugi. Daisuke Ono and Jun Fukuyama have also been tapped for the series, with Junichi Suwabe rounding out the cast as the narrator.

This new installment continues a legacy that began in 2008 with the original Battle Spirits: Shōnen Toppa Bashin. While the franchise maintained a near-annual broadcast cycle through 2017, recent entries like Battle Spirits: Mirage shifted to online distribution. This return to a traditional television broadcast signals a significant push for the long-running card game property, which remains a staple of Bandai’s multimedia strategy.
